A manhole is in the center of the road, is driven over thousands of times and nobody ever thinks about it until the sewer line underneath needs to be addressed. The Standard Diameters and the Reason Why They Are Not Random
Manhole sizes are based on a range that is directly related to the use of the manhole. There is a cost to cutting corners when it comes to manhole selection. In many instances, the manhole is not of any concern until after installation, and then when it has an issue, the road repair costs are much greater than the money originally saved.

There are a few consistent warning signs that occur with weaker manhole suppliers.
